Printer not working

i am using epson stylus cx 1500. i installed the printer to laptop with the help of cd, but still it does'nt work.
kindly help me to solve this problem.

click start, control panel, faxes and printers.
look on the list of printers, delete the printers that are no longer used, make sure your current printer is selected as the default printer. There should be a green check mark on the printer you want to use.
