^New pot

What do you guys think?

The current speed for the competition is about 4.7 ghz on the i7 920. (remember it has to be stable)

Im aming at 5 ghz... I dont have any ln2 left so it will only be dice.

stable to run what?, are you trying to get the highest scores or speed? 5ghz with ln2 should be easy tbh but with dice you might be pushing it

ah rite sounds fun good luck

If he can reach 4.5Ghz on Air then 5Ghz on Dice should be doable....

cpuz shot and running benchmarks are quite a world apart and 5ghz on dice isnt exactly easy espically when your after speed so you can't turn HT off etc

http://www.hwbot.org/listResults.d [...] &limit=100

will give you some idea the top ones are barely 5ghz and they either have a cascade or LN2

Reply to richardscott

lol overshocked 5ghz cpuz will put you arround the top50 in the world :D lol for my cpu i have to hit 6.5ghz for top 50 :P atm i can only get it into top 230 :P, time for some LN2 me thinks or fork out for me autocascade

Oh i know... it sucks. the gold cup used to be at 5.4 ghz and by the time i got my classy board there was a flood of submissions.

I hate cascades.. they will cost you about 2 grand and then you have to recharge it etc. Much easier to buy a $250 pot. [:lectrocrew:6]

your a bit younger than i expected, anyway its an auto cascade so i only need two gasses propane and co2 :D both cheap as for cost it mainly depends on how big of a compressor i get :D mabee a 21cc is overkill but meh the one i have now is only 8.5 :( better then the crappy 5cc one you get given in the american version of the LS tho

HAHA, i know. Just kinda irritating to have to deal with.

Of course you will probably be alot cheaper for you B/C you will make it your self, correct?

I use propane for my phase... mainly because of the price/availability and the delicous boiling point. [:thegreatgrapeape:3]

Ln2 is just so much easier for benching.

Thanks... unfortunatly the competition has 5 different classes and the winner of each class gets into a random draw to get the new pot.

But ill still win $25 if i get 1st place.
