I am buying myself a new computer since my old one sucks, i have a good hard drive and DVD drive but aside from that everything sucks. So i designed myself a computer that seems to meet all the things i think i need. This computer will be used for gaming, but more time will be spent working on programs like Photoshop, blueJ, and playing downloaded HD videos. So that is why i think a quad core would be better than a dual core that is slightly faster. I will be picking this computer up the day after tommorow, but if you guys see anything wrong or could make any recommendations i would greatly appreciate it. Also plz don't recommend the Antec nine hundred gamer case because while it is awesome my brother has it and i cant be a copier :(

Poor choice of mobo and video.

P45 and a 4870x2

Well, if you really have so much cash that you plan to SLI GTX 280s in the future, OK.

Let me put it in perspective for you though:

You are spending roughly $600.00 for 15 frames per second that are undetectable to the naked eye, except maybe playing a few games at 2560x1600 with all max settings where your lowest FPS might actually dip down to under 40, once or twice.

If you actually are playing at those resolutions, save some money and get an x48 board and two 4870s.

If your resolution needs are the more realistic 1680x1050 of a regular 22" widescreen LCD, then all you need is the P45 roadrunner mentioned.

Stick with DDR2-800.
