Remote Network Drive

I am a student, I set up remote network drive on my computer to be able to connect my school working disk. It is working well for a while (a month) then, disappeared while using. My computer was hang at that time. I tried to reconnect following the exact procedure. It was failed.
Any ideas on that? Do I need to format my disk? I don't know what to do. I must have to have it otherwise, I cannot work from home. I use Window XP home version. Thanks in advance.

If your computer used to work fine, and got hung up, and now it doesn't work, your option is to do a system restore point.

Click:

Start>Help and Support>undo changes to your computer with system restore>Restore my computer to an earlier time>

Choose a date in bold type that was know to be good before the hang.
