So I'm not overclocked at the moment because I wanted to make sure that everything is working fine before I start messing with my processor and ram. I installed Crysis today and was hoping to see some awesome visuals... What I'm seeing instead is sever artifacting. Green and red squares popping up, weird flickering of scenery and other wonderful things. I have all settings on high for now but I should be able to run like this without a problem.
I've been monitoring the temps and they seem to be in the 60's when being stressed (I turn up the fan speed to 50% just to keep it cool).
I'm sure there's something that I'm missing that you guys can help me out on! Thanks!
have you tried any other driver versions as although 8.8's work fine for me and it is smooth on all high settings it may be slightly different for yourself.
is it a clean install of windows and drivers?
------------------------------I'm a git, deal with it.
I had a similar thing. I moved one of the settings from high to very high and it fixed it. Now I just tried to go back and replicate the issue and I can't make it happen again. After mucking around with all the settings I have no idea which one had fixed the problem originally, maybe shaders or objects; left hand column anyhow.
I would pay attention to the first, tbh i had not noticed the second one, mine is at 40C. the first one is the primary one and the one used for the desktop if i am not mistaken.
also, the gpu activity i believe is just being misread due to driver infancy.

Turns out the GPU's and memory were running at different clock speeds. I don't know HOW I missed it but it seems to have fixed everything.
On another note... I think I have to look at water cooling. These things just get too hot to feel comfortable and at 50% the fans are too loud unless you have a headset.
