^ just because you had issues with Asus doesn't mean that others will. I've got both the Rampage Formula and the Maximus II Formula - never had any issues with them.

I'd say Asus or Gigabyte - P45 chipset should do you good. With the e8500, I dont see why you wouldn't want to OC though. The 4870 is a good card to match an OC'ed CPU. If you plan to go down the Asus board path, I need to inform you that the OCZ Reaper series are not compatible with some of the Asus Boards... Its a known issue, maybe this is why the previous poster said to stay away from Asus.

Thanks but I am completely lost with my MB choice, I don't want to spend useless money just need a mobo that will not bottelneck my 4870 and e8500 in gaming will go for ddr2 4-4-4-x for sure, would buy a sound card if I save on the MB.
