Soz i need help about deciding on a motherboard
ryt now im kinda locked between ASUS's Rampage Formula and Striker II Formula
But the thing is dat i want ddr3 :(
But im kinda swaying to da rampage cuz its got da X48 chip but yeh



open to different kinds of motherboards as well but im an ASUS fanboy
lol

If you have the cash to afford one of those, and you "want" DDR3, i would assume you have enough knowledge of what to get.

If you are willing to pay the premium for ddr3 then go ahead and do it. I truly see no point as my ddr2 667 is gaming just fine. Also, $300 for a motherboard is just unnecessary. you probably won't get much more than a 5% overclock boost than any other $150 board. thats american though.

Get a cheaper motherboard, with cheaper DDR2. E.g. P5E Deluxe.

Use the savings to get a better CPU and GPU.

If you have money left buy some grammar book. :)
