If you are getting a Crossfire motherboard, like the X48, get a ATI card:

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express)

Suggestion:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 Intel X48 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

I would go with DDR2, DDR3 is still not worth paying the price for it.

Yep, you have a crossfire board and a SLI card listed. Makes no sense.

Don't by a DDR3 board or buy DDR3 RAM.

Get two 4870s for less than the GTX 280.
