I have been running 2 monitors from one card for 2 years, its a X1800GTO. This doesnt perform very well and have to mess about with settings before playing games and cant play any games (supcom for example) on dual screen.

Im thinking of buying a new card such as an HD4850 and run them both on PCi/E and run a screen on each.

Does anyone have experience of this?

Will i need software other than Vista and the ATi drivers to run it?

Is there a limiting effect on the better card in a similar way to running different speed ram?

Thanks for any help.

I'll be doing the same thing with my X1800XL, lol

I have no experience on this one, so i can't be of any help :(

Theory says that it shouldn't matter and you don't need aditional software to run them.

I'll keep an eye on this thread, cause the 4870's and 4850's don't come with VIVO :(

Esop!
