I am having trouble with my memory, i currently have the ddr3 corshair xms3 1333 memory. As default on my mobo, it only reads the memory at 1066 due to a glitch. I have the 790i ultra mobo. i don't want to flash it.

anyway, the rams timings are 9 9 9 24 t1 and volts are 1.7v
if i were to jack the rams frequency up to 1333, do i need to increase the voltage any more? The voltages above and the timings are straight from the sticker on the ram itself.

Thanks

maybe your fsb:dram ratio is wrong. Go to the bios and probably you can set it in the section that houses all the settings about oc'ing. If you found it you will probably be able to set it to 'auto'. If not use the ratio that gets it as close as possible to 1333mhz. You can also oc your cpu to get your ram working faster because that increases the fsb and both cpu and ram are linked to that. However i'm practically sure you can set it to auto and than you will get around 1333 at every fsb.

Forgot something: after setting it to auto, you will be able to set the mem frequency manually. A setting that was previously grayed out will become available. Enter 1333 and save and exit bios with f10.
