Toshiba laptop hard drive data transfer with out the laptop

Ok I have a compaq laptop with a Toshiba hard drive. MK8034GSX...
I bought a 2.5 hard drive adaptor, but the hard drive does not have pins like the adapter uses. Instead it uses metal slides that connect the laptop hard-drive. So where can I buy a converter to connect to my desktop for this style hard drive?
