I just built a new PC.. Windows Vista 64 and 2 Visiontek 4850 Cards. With windows vista drivers my screen is super bright and nice. I installed the ATI drivers from Visiontek and not when I start my pc my screen is slightly dim. If I run a game it becomes bright again. Then when I exit back to windows it says nice and bright.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

go to the catalyst control center, and then under the advanced options, choose color. then hit the button that says " Reactivate ATI color controls" and it should brighten up. i just barely found this fix, So im not sure if you have to do it everytime or not. good luck!
