*SOLVED* Windows 7: mouse does not work during installation

Hello, I recently built a computer and today began to install Windows 7. The mouse and keyboard I bought work during BIOS configuration, but not during the OS installation. At all. I have tried other mice and keyboards and nothing works, not wireless or wired mice. I have no idea what's wrong with my computer. Help!

Some gaming keyboards and mice do not work during windows installation, have you tried using the keyboard that came with the unit, or is it a custom build?

It's a custom build, and I exhausted all the keyboards and mice in my house. In the end I found a keyboard that worked, so problem solved. Now that it's running, all the drivers have installed properly and everything works fine. I should mention that it was a very old keyboard that worked. All my USB devices didn't.
