Due to stability issues with my video card(8800 GTX XXX) and the fact I didn't want to send it away for 2 weeks, I underclocked the factory overclock to stock GTX settings in order to fix my stability issues. However now that I will be away for a couple weeks I feel the need to finally get it fixed to run under the correct settings, however the warranty statement only mentions overclocking the card will void service, not underclocking. If anyone has some professional insight into this matter(concerning XFX) I'd be happy to hear it.

is this a dumb question!?

is there any harm to the hardware doing underclocking?

there is no harm in underclocking BUT it will definately VOID the warranty.i talk to intel about this they say manually alter the clockspeed outside its specified setting(stock) will VOID the warranty automatically.

It voids it but underclocking won't damage it and they won't know so...

if you did it through software and reversed it back to the originals they can't know it's underclocked (unless there's damage... and whatdamage can underclocking do?)
