I was thinking of crossfiring 4850's on my asus maximus formula special edition X38. However i'm aware that crossfiring doesnt work as well on some boards as others, and couldnt find any benchies on google. Does anyone know how well crossfire works on this board?
Thanks
Crossfire performance is better than a P35 but worse than an X48 despite the fact that many X38 owners gleefully claim than an X48 is just a renamed X38 that is simply not the case.

ASUS Maximus Formula SE X38 with 2 x 3870 in CrossfireX raiised my 3D Mark '06 50% when I added a second 3870. ASUS Maximus Formula X38 SE is PCIE 2.0 x 16 x 2 when CrossfireX enabled. It is not possible to construct CrossfireX in a more optimal configuration. Works very well.
