A family member has recently had a PC repaired with a new motherboard and is now having major issues connecting to the internet, in short they cant access the router or get online. They have tried all the usual fixes ie changing the cable around, resetting the router etc.
I have run out of ideas of what could be causing the problem barring the need to replace the motherboard again, obviously not an ideal situation. If anybody has any ideas i would be very grateful. Please let me know if you need any more information!
Do you have another PC in the house?
Can you download the latest drivers for the LAN on the motherboard and install them?
Is there a firewall or anything else that might be blocking the connection?
What operating system?
