Spooling printing

i am connected to a shared printer on a local network but i cannot printer from the printer, the printing status is always spooling and the document refuse to print

click start, control panel, printers and faxes
is the printer you are trying to use on the list?
is there a green check-mark on the printer that you are using? Or is the wrong printer selected?
did you load a driver for the printer that you are trying to use?
