Hello all. I recently built my first computer. I will list the specs below. However, I have a small question about it.
I pretty much only play MMO's and I am interested in playing Warhammer Online. With my new computer when I go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest (Can you run it?) it reports me as having 1.7GB of VRAM. I use an 8800GT video card with only 512MB of VRAM and there is no onboard video card on my motherboard.
So, my question is: What is going on? Why does that site list my VRAM as 1.7GB? Is some setting using my system RAM?
System: AMD 6000+, Asus M2N-E mobo, 3gb GSkill RAM (2x1gb and 2x512kb dual channel), EVGA 8800GT.
For me it reported 2.2GB for a similar 512MB card (a GTS actually). IMO, it might be including some of the standard RAM the video driver has access to. I wouldn't worry about that.
