The MSI P7N Platinum is a good OC'er and works well with a Q6600

I have had great results with the Gigabyte P35 DS3L and the Q6600...very nice overclocks and extremely stable. Scored over 17,000 3DMark06 with 8800GTS 512.

I am thinking that the Gigabyte P45 version of this board, which is all solid state, would also be a great choice if you don't care for the older P35.

You scored 17k with a single 8800GTS? lol

Thank you all for the help!

So it looks like Gigabyte and Asus are both very good picks.

Btw, is P45 better than P35? lol

Yes, but either is very good. Stay far away from Nvidia chipsets - you want either a P35/P45, or an X38/X48 (the X series are probably out of your budget though).
