im realy fed up of this gpu. :pfff:

It all started when i saw a big lump of dust inside the GPU Heatsink. I opened up the card to take it out (it was decreasing air flow) :??:

I plugged it back in and now the fans are locked at max. :fou:

it might not be max but its bloody well loud.

I want to know weather this has happened to anyone else? and any suggestions on fixing this problem.

THANKS!!

HMMMMMMM, if there is no speed control onboard get a hold of the latest riva tuner either www.majorgeeks.com or 3dguru.com or try speedfan..:)

i run ma 9600GT at max speed and its not loud at all.....i have reference cooler......i can only hear the fan after 12am.......

check ur temp to see if there is a change....if temps are lower then ur fan is running at max speed....otherwise, ur fan is hitting something while spinning and is making that noise.....if so, romove anything that may be on its paths and also try lubricating the fan....

Something must be connected incorrectly, I would do as suggested and inspect the assembly and take apart and put back together again, carefully.

If the fan isnt plugged in correctly, itll auto to 100%. Recheck your connects
