Question about Directx 11 and current gen gfx cards

Forum Overclocking : Graphics Cards Question about Directx 11 and current gen gfx cards

Word :    Username :

I am considering building a new computer next month and I have a couple of questions.

Which cards are easier to overclock? The Radeon cards or the GTX cards?

Also, will Directx 11 have an huge effect on how well Directx 10.1 cards can play Directx 11 games?

Currently, which card gives the most value?

Reason for editing: Posted original questions in wrong thread.

Yeah...I accidentally posted questions that were meant to be in the General gfx cards thread onto this thread, so I had to edit this thread so that I posted the correct corresponding questions regarding overclocking Radeon and GTX cards. Sorry about that...hence why I wrote "Reason for editing: Posted original questions in wrong thread. "

OK, Direct X 10 card cant do direct X 11, also DX 10 cards can play DX 11 games AS LONG as the game has a DX10 option, but there is no way a DX10 card can play a DX 11 game in DX 11.
I have a XFX 4850 and that overclockes REALLY well, but I think the sweet spot for price/performance is the 4870, the Nvidia cards you will be paying a premium for that i dont think are worth it

Will this be a good build to overclock 2500k to 5.0GHz?

I'm the one that told him that a Silver Arrow will get to 5Ghz, so I'll take the blame...
