CD DRIVE ISN"T RECOGNIZED.

OK big problem. I dont know what happend all of the sudden my cd drive doesnt work. The dvd drive works fine. The cd drive doesnt even open. I no its not the power supply because i just replaced it and the other drive opens and closes. I really need help.

To rule a few things out, when you have the computer first boot up does the CD drive have any lights come on? If not then your CD-Drive may not be getting power which is only one of two things. Problem 1: Power Supply not providing power, or Problem 2: CD-Drive is defective now.

Rule that out first. Cd-drives all have LEDs on the front and will power on and flash when the computer powers on, if that doesnt happen then the issue is power. If you get flashes let us know!
