Okay heres the backstory first. I'm 17 and working part time at a crappy retail for a few hours a week. Next week I start school and my hours will be cut greatly. I've decided to go spend this weeks paycheck of ~$60 (I get paid weekly) on something for my computer. They cut me out of a day so this paycheck is one of my smallest.

Now I have a few choices but you are more than welcome to recommend me more. Which of these do you think will benefit me more because I really need to save my money for a car.

E6750, 2gb DDR2 800, 8800gt 512, 320gb HDD

I could buy-
2gb of RAM more since i just installed 64bit Vista

An XBOX 360 wireless game controller (or if you have a better one tell me), I'd use it as a remote and to play my emulators.

G5 mouse, I use a microsoft laser mouse right now. I've always wanted one but only if the other things don't help me at all for the cost.

CPU fan, I'm thinking Tuniq Tower. I'm running the stock, I think it gets to 65 on load.

GPU fan, No idea which. My 8800gt is hot and can get loud.

More about : deciding buy

IMO, the extra 2GB will be the best option. As for the rest, it depends on you. Do you intend to OC? How much does the sound annoy you? Are you unsatisfied with the mouse?...

Yeah, I'd definitely go with the extra RAM. Vista really needs 4gigs. You'll see a nice improvement. And if you're currently running 2x1GB in dual-channel and your mobo has 4 DIMMs I'd be tempted to spend the whole check on a 2x2GB kit for a total of 6GB. If you currently have a single 2GB stick, running it with a 2x2GB kit will cancel dual-channel mode, though, so it's only worth it if you currently have 2x1GB in dual-channel.

RAM was my initial choice, I was just wondering if the improvement would be worth the cost.

I don't really intend to OC either and the noise is a bit of a problem but not that bad. Mouse is just a luxury. A controller would be nice but if 2gb does something I'll go for it.
