Can I add Win98 to a harddrive that is running XP

Hello,
I have a DOS software program that will only run on win98 and no later. My old computer hard drive quit. Can I load win98 on a harddrive running XP and load my DOS software in the 98 section??

Hi,
Here are a few options-

If the program runs under DOS, one option is to install DOSBOX (http://www.dosbox.com/) and run the program from the program.

A second options is to install the program under XP, and try running the program in compatability mode. (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/appcompat.mspx)

Another option is to set up a dual boot system. Instructions can be found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306559. The downside of dual booting is that you will need to reboot your system to switch between operating systems.
