Good day all,

I just picked up two WD drives that i wanted to set up in RAID 1 for storage, to my computer that curently has Win 7 on a hd non RAID. Its not working is this possible or did i just dump alot of $$ on two HDs that i cant turn in to a RAID. It will not boot when i have it set to RAID in the BIOS, but if i change it to IED i cant see my RAID hard drives when win boots up in my computer.....

OS: Win 7
Mother board: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
Hard drives: 2 x WD 2TB drive

Thanks for the Help.

the answer to the first part is yes RAID and non RAID drives can work, your PC hard drive which has the OS installed on isnt a problem here.

what RAID controller are you using? software or hardware based?

I am not sure what RAID Controller i am using....

I set up the RAID how it said in my manual for my Asus P6T Deluxe V2. first in the bios changing it to RAID, Then i rebooted hit control i during start up to enter in to the RAID Program to make the RAID of the two drives....

i thought the Mother board had a rad controller? i am new to this so 9/10 i do not know what i am talking about.
