Hello!

I think my computer is having a problem with my power supply (hard drive stuttering, clicking sometimes that results in computer completely freezing). This problem only happens occasionally, but it's a pain knowing that it happens almost every few days.

This is my rig:

NVidia GeForce 8800 GT

4GB DDR2 Ram

500GB disk drive @ 7200 RPM

AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core

The power supply that's in there now is a 350x supply --- should i bump it up to 450x??

I also noticed that the video card is really hot, and actually during my last Dead Space play, it over heated and shut down the computer.

Thanks for any help!! :) :)

You probably are pushing it with that psu, especially if its a no name or a cheap brand.

I would get a 550 watt psu if you plan to upgrade later to another more powerful video card. You probably wont need that much but its better to have some overkill rather than push the psu to its limit...
