ATI 4850 and a CPU e4800. Everything is fine but when it gets to the "start windows normally" screen it just restarts. I have OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W ATX12V PSU. My motherboard is not on a case it's just standing on top of a box. And the graphic card which seems to be the problem is a little loose. Can that be the problem?

Try increasing the voltage to your RAM. My friend had a similar problem and he resolved it by upping his ram voltage.

how do I do that and how much should I increase it?

well I increased my DRAM voltage to 1.90V and it didn't change anything. Should I increase it some more?

You mean e8400?

Sounds to me like you upgraded, and threw your old hard drive with a old install of windows in your new build. FAIL!!!!!!!!!

You need to do a fresh install for your new motherboard, or you will coninue to have issues.

:( ok man thnx.

Was that the issue??????

well now I get a blinking underscore. I put the cd-burner first in the boot priority.

Well reset the cmos, and then check the bios settings again and make sure the right dvd drive is set to boot 2nd and cd 1st. Also set the drive to ide mode in bios, and you will be good to go.

what are CMOs, and where do I reset them? Do I set the drive to IDE in the storage configuration? srry but I'm a total noob when it comes to these stuff.

when booting up the system just hit the F8 key and that should open up the boot rom and you can select the cd rom drive to boot. keep your eye on the screen cuz it will ask you to PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD . once you press a key then the cd should boot.
