I have an Asus P6T board with a core i7 920 D0. The settings are more or less all stock, except that in the BIOS, I set it to DDR3 1600 (RAM's rated speed) and the QPI to 6.4. However, CPU-Z shows both these values as half of what they should be? Why could this be? Also, the BIOS shows the ram as 1600 when it posts.
The only other setting I changed was to manually set the CPU voltage to 1.00V as it kept going up to 1.4V on auto for some odd reason and trying to ignite itself.
I wouldn't rely totally on CPU-Z, since it may not be detecting your hardware's settings properly. Why not just do benchmarks and see if there's an improvement?

The ram is because it is DDR (double data rate). So it will display exactly half. But it is actually running at 1600.
There is an explanation for the QPI, just forgot about what it is. Im sure google will help.
