I switched from charter internet to AT&T DSL and I have had nothing but trouble with the router.
I have very little knowledge of how it is supposed to be set up.
I did get the the modem set to PPPoE (Bridge) so now I can get to the router and web pages time out not just error.
What do I need to look for to get this fixed.

Windows XP
AT&T Motorola modem
Linksys router with firewall

OK, I have modem in bridge mode, The router set for PPPoE, my AT&T login and password.
What else do I need to change and where do I get that info.

Check the router status page and see if the router is getting a WAN IP address. Also should be getting DNS addresses from AT&T.

Thank you for your help.

It seems that with all the chaos after I could not get it to work I never put the newer router back in line after I figured out the modem had to be set to bridged.

What a month this is starting out to be.
