my 8800gt by gigabyte is the loudest thing in my PC, it needs to go!

need help finding a good hsf replacement for it. that can keep the temps down and keep it quiet!

i have a pretty silent build heres some specs:

Case: Antec 300, 200mm fan on low, not sure of db 20-25db ish
CPU HSF: Xigmatek HDT-S1283, sits at 20db., never has to rev up
Case Fans: 3x 120mm Scythe 40cfm, 10.7db fans.
no northbridge hsf, sits around 35-40 without anything
PSU: Seasonic M12 700w dunno lets say 25db ish

GFX card: 30-35+ db

thanks dude, that looks like a great heatsink. i should have enough airflow in my case to do it without a fan, that would be awesome, even if i dont ill see if i can retro fit a scythe fan on it.

thanks again.

Yeah I have seen some pretty good results with the accelero. Also, in the same forum post, the person as nuke has mentioned used zip ties to slap on a 120mm fan to keep things even cooler. Good luck!

I put a Thermaltake DuoOrb on my old EVGA 8800GT SSC, (700mhz stock, I had it oc'ed to 760) it idled at 32c and never peaked over 45c, and the cooler was basically silent.
