I have a xfx 9300 Geforce motherboard and i want to add a graphics on it Like a 8400gs to maximize my pc's graphics performance.can it possible and does it increase my smoothness in playing games.

Don't think so, needs 2 identical SLI-compatible cards.

NO hybrid SLI only works with 9500gt,9600gt, 9800gt, 9800gtx, 9800gtx+, 9800gx2, I am not sure about the 9300 but it is kind of low powered and weak for great games, its more of a multimedia card. You cannot hybrid SLI with an 8600gt... only with some hybrid SLI motherboards and other 9xxxgt cards......

make sure your motherboard can support hybrid SLI as well.... my advice would be to get at least a 9600gt.... then SLI it or if you have a bigger budget a 9800gt in SLI is good for most games.....
