Good SAS JBODs?

I'd like to use adaptec's high end SAS RAID controllers but I'm having problems finding nice JBODs to go with it. We currently use two Dell Perc 6/E SAS RAID Controllers per server each attached to two Dell MD1000's. Problem is these servers are IBM 3850's so we have no way of managing the SAS arrays except to reboot the machine and go into BIOS. The company make 250K an hour so I've had a very hard time getting downtime to do anything. I'd rather have used 3rd party solutions like adapte'cs but I couldn't find a nice package at the time.

Are you in-house or a service provider? Whatever the case, I'd suggest suggesting upgrading to a more modern, controllable setup. You can just mirror the server data and do a switch, right?
