Title says it. Never happens when I'm idle. Which like 50% of the time. Mostly happens when I'm outputting video or audio. Computer completely freezes. Not just a jerk and you wait it comes back again. Complete lock up. Can't move mouse, type on the keyboards. Audio and video just stops instantly. Gotta restart.
I have:
Thermaltake Toughpower 750W
Q6600
8800GTX
ASUS Striker Extreme 680i
Kingston 667Mhz Ram
XtremeGamer Sound card
Z-5500 Logitech
I recently installed one more gig of ram and the q6600, and the sound card. No idea what's causing it. I ran multi Norton, Registry, and CCleaner. And all the other tests I can. No virus. I have plenty of harddrive like 50% for C: and 20% for D:. So yeah, any help would be good. Thanks you soo much.

this can be a pain. Several issues:
1) heating issues
2)Bad OS
Take out tha ram and test each pair/or test it individually.

IDK about the heating. My Q6600 is 60 C max and 8800GTX isn't any hotter then it was before. Bad OS... goddamn I'm gonna reinstall it next long weekend I get. Anyone have any other less grim diagnoses?
