i just want to know if running 1 or 2 9800 gx2 on an intel board (x48) i would lose performance over an nvidia board...

No performance loss whatsoever. It'll run on the pcie2.0x16 bus as it should. Nor does ATI cards on Nvidia motherboards lose performance.

It's a fine board. Although there are cheaper ones for the same performance. Those two, for example.

cool thanks, i dont have too much of a budget as a just sold my laptop and dont need the money so ill go for the other one for the good reviews, thanks for checking it out!!

I just noticed you mentioned "1 or 2 9800gx2." Keep in mind Intel chipset boards do not support sli, so no quad sli 9800gx2.

ohhhh... what do u think of 2 4850s in crossfire??
can that run any game on max? at 1680 x 1050?
