If you uninstall works does it naturally revert to wordpad for all your document

If you uninstall works or word in windows XP will your documents then only open with wordpad. This is what I am seeking, just to use wordpad and no other. thanks.

Wordpad won't open word or works documents. If you uninstall Word and Works, you will need MS' reader programs to open and read those files - they are free for download, search MS' download site..

I found out that you just save the works or word files as .rtf rich text files and they automatically save in Wordpad.
