I7 920 cpu temps

I plan to get the i7 920 cpu in the near future, i just wanted to overclock it to 3.5-3.6, i am wondering is that good to do if i leave my computer on for 15-16 hours a day and wat AIR cooler would be best to keep temps down?

I also heard that DO stepping is better how do u make sure u get do stepping?

Google is your friend, so use it to find a good after market cooler. There are several good websites that specialize in cooler reviews.

Regarding i7 stepping, most retail and etail supplies of the I7 920 C0 stepping have been exhausted for several months, so there's littlre risk of actually receiving one.

C0: SLBCH
D0: SLBEJ

At ~ the same temperatures, the D0 will typically overclock ~ 200 Mhz higher that a C0, however, I'm running a hand-picked C0 at 4.1 Ghz, which I selected before the D0 was available.
