Computer not reading my hard ddive

i took out my hitachi hard drive, installed a seagate drive. neither one will work in my computer nor the seagates computer (dell)i hooled my hard drive back into my Seanix and it will not read the drive...any suggestions please?

If you install a new hard drive and it suddenly acts like it is not there, it may be a
loose or a Broken connection.
just open the case and make sure that all the connections are correct & seated firmly

also Unplug the power supply connection, make sure there are no bent pins, and plug it in securely.Repeat the procedure with the connection to the motherboard, make sure no pins are bent
