.. I have a Q6600..on a p6N msi mobo..with a 8800GTS and about 320 harddrive space with 2 gigs.of ram..

My Question is..? CAn i build a better Computer System with a 1000? or should i keep the one i have..I am a Graphic Designer..that still likes to game a little..hence why i have the Quad is because i have to deal with a lots of..Intense programs running all at the same time.. I have no ideas on a new build. Just sumting Better ..Computer Monitor im hoping to use a 27in LCD Wide..

Thanks.

For your use I would:

Go with a 64 bit OS, more ram and the larger monitor.

Or a few months down the road, the middle Nehalem CPU with a 64 bit OS, more ram like 6 GB, and the larger monitor. This option will be much more expensive.

More ram in your 32 bit OS will give you a bump up, but not by much, another CPU? Unless you go for one of the quads with 12mb cache it really would be a waste of money.

You really don't need double posts.
