hello guys
is are the specs

-LG 22X DVD±R DVD
-Thermaltake M9
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB
-CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W
-Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield
-EVGA 01G-P3-N891-AR GeForce 9800 GX2
-OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB DDR2 800 4-4-4-12

all this for $822 but i just need the mobo i reallly dont want to exceed from $1000
im looking for an asus750¡ or 680¡ from evga my only complain is that asus750¡ has the pcie2.0 slots to close for gtx 280sli (ohhh said gtx280 because i will buy the 9800gx2 and i know someone who can buy it to me for 400 and i might buy another gtx280 later) the evga 750 is about 40 dollards more than asus .....

soooo....and about the evga680i heard it was to bugged..... and i ve looking this option too.. buying an asus 780¡ but it will cost about 1035 the grand total ( i dont know if that is a better mobo) if it is and it is worth it i guess i ll have to save a bit

but is it worth having the asus 780¡ .. i guess i will oc the q6600 to 3.0 or above and i will be using a single card for a year i might have sli a year later

so confusing

680i can't do Yorkfields officially. If you're hardware engineer, sure, why not? You might be able to make it work, but for the average user, forget it. Go with 680i if you run only Q6600 on it.

7x0i can do Yorkfields & Wolfdales. This is the only chipset to buy if you plan to upgrade the cpu.

The only 750i board with too close PCI-E slots is ASUS P5N-D. So scratch that. Look into MSI & EVGA 750i. There are 3 slots in between the 1st & 2nd PCI-E. GTX200's are 2-slot cards.
