My temp idles at 50c when i have my fans and cd drives plugged in. If i remove them, i idle at 41-43. Thats quite i drop .. and i heard thats not normal. If anything, i checked BIOS and my 3.3v rail is marked as FAIL.

Disregarding the FAIL message, is it NORMAL for a PC to be hotter when more things are plugged in a psu? or is it just me and my broken PSU?

Sounds like a dodgy psu. Do you have your fans plugged in the right way round as they could keep warm air in your case if they're fighting each other.

I don't hink your cd drives should make a difference to temps as they would be idle most of the time. Hard drives could make a difference to temps as they can get quite warm when plugged in (depending on the drive and how many you have in your case), but still I don't think it would be much of a change for the average user.

Either way, time for a new psu, make sure you get a good one as it wilsave you some headaches in the future.
