Hello-
Something weird is going on when I run CCleaner registry function. No matter how many times I run it, the following issue just won't go away:
> Invalid or Empty File Class data-'http' Key- 'HKCR/http'
If I run 'regedit' and look for it manually, it isn't even there.
What's up with that? :??:
Thanks!
tim

Yea, that thing is kind of like a "fine toothed comb"

Try CCleaner registry function now....

LOL!- Now CCleaner finds this stuff, and the only thing I did was run that tool you sent me and come back here. Here's what CCleaner found now:

Unused File Extension >.dat HKCU\Sware\MS\Win\CurVer\Exp\FileExts\.dat

Obsolete Software Key >LogMeIn Rescue HKLM\Sware\LogMeInRescue

Missing MUI Reference >C:\DOCUM~\tim\LOCALS~1\Temp\is-EI700.tmp\is-
-FA1VS.tmp

And, of course, the one listed above is back. I wonder which one of these programs is telling the truth???...lol

Didn't you read the fine print (in light grey on white background ) that reads "No refunds, No returns, No complaints"??

Unused File Extension >.dat HKCU\Sware\MS\Win\CurVer\Exp\FileExts\.dat
Because no program has the extension .dat associated with it.

Obsolete Software Key >LogMeIn Rescue HKLM\Sware\LogMeInRescue
It found something linked to this... somewhere.

Missing MUI Reference >C:\DOCUM~\tim\LOCALS~1\Temp\is-EI700.tmp\is-
-FA1VS.tmp
It's a temp file, probably long gone by now.

It is always best to run that thing at least twice.

You get what you pay for.... and around here, it's Free!

WWHHAAAAAAT???....What's free got to do with it!...Hey look, I'm gonna shoot you a PM in a bit about that registry deal with the missing icon. Since it's FREE, please help me fix it....I found some things there that don't look right. That file they sent me (text editor file) finally stuck to the reg. There is some stuff waaay different than what you proposed. Anyway, I'll PM ya as soon as I'm done with puzzle buildin' detail with the ol' lady! ;)

Yeah, this was linked to one of those remote MS35 services I was using.
