Alright, after much consideration I think I have the parts finalized for my build. I just need to make sure I have everything I need now and if there are any suggestions as to changing the build then please, proffer your advice. All the parts are from newegg, and I think the build is pretty good. If anyone has any knowledge as to upcoming price reductions within a week, then that would be something to consider before I purchase the parts. I heard somewhere that the 4870's are dropping in price next week, but I could be wrong.

Umm, it works for me, but if you want I could list them out individually, but that is rather time consuming.

looks like a good build. i would personally prefer a bigger hard drive, but that's up to you. also i'm not so sure about a sunbeam-brand cpu cooler. a zalman or actic cooling would be a better choice.

Yup, there's where I picked out the cooler from.

Looks good. Nice choice on the G5.

Note about Vista x64: Make SURE you have Vista x64 drivers for your printer, WiFi,etc.

Could you elaborate on the Vista x64 drivers and any other problem I might come along with using Vista?

Reply to nvgtrwiggles

Say for example you have a good printer from ~2004 that don't have Vista x64 drivers. The chances of getting that printer to work is highly unlikely with out the drivers. Same goes to WiFi adapters, cameras, etc.

Ah, ok. Well then I'll just be using the computer I'm on right now for school stuff and whatnot to keep compatibility issues to a minimum.
