Programs Back Up

Hello-
I want to wipe my HDD and do a new install of my XP Pro OS. I have backed up my 'docs & sett'gs' to an external hard drive already. My question, is there a way to back up my programs so I can put them back on the new OS install so I don't have to go and fetch them individually? Some of them have license keys and some don't-ie- paid, freeware and torrents.

Unfortunately, if you do a clean install you will have to reinstall all of your programs. If you do a repair you may be lucky and save some of your programs.

mibix19- yeah, ur right! the only problem I got is my XP Pro CD, for whatever reason, doesn't have the repair (R) option in the task area- I think it's step 4.

Yep, 'Tigsounds', you're right!...and guess what?...I'm frickin' used to it!...lol

I might as well back up docs & sett'gs to an ext hdd, wipe the drive and do a new install with this CD I've got, export the docs & sett'gs from the ext back to the machine and chase the programs down again. Some are freeware, some torrented, and the rest are paid downloads- I have the keys.
