TLER: Can it be enabled in new WD Black HDDs (late 2009 early 2010

I would like to purchase 4 x WD6401AALS hard drives and put them in a RAID 10 array. I was going to run the WDTLER utility to enable TLER, but have been reading that this utility no longer works to enable TLER in the newly shipped hard drives (late 2009 and early 2010). Is this true?

I just used WDTLER on 5 drives - Caviar BLUE WDC WD5000AAKS-00V1A0 (4 Drives) and a WDC WD5000AAKS-007B0 (1 Drive).

These drives were all manufactured on or after Nov 21, 2009.

TLER ran and worked on them.

I bought two 1TB Blacks from the same egg crate. One dated Oct and the other Nov. I could TLER the Oct drive but not the Nov one. Had to dump them as RAID1 was unstable. Bought two RE's that are stable with TLER enabled.
