Forgot to add that I'll be running Vista 64 bit Ultimate.

Mainly using it for games, video editing, graphic work, and to back up my movies!

looks like a good build, but i dont think you really needed a 1000W psu.

You're absolutely right... I could have gone with something smaller, but if I ever decide to add a second 4870x2 then I might be happy to have that extra headroom!

awesome machine, enjoy.

-750w PSU would have been fine (PC and Power cooling Silencer)
-3.5g of Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound.

Looks good!
I don't see anything you missed.

I ordered some of the OCZ Freeze...

And yeah you might be right on the power supply, I might send back the Zalman and have another PSU sent. I guess I'll figure it out when all the stuff gets here.

I've been waiting for my stuff to come in and it turns out the PSU and Mobo I ordered are both on backorder. (not ordering from newegg since I'm in Canada)

I swapped the Zalman PSU for:

CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX 1000W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139007

Which seems to be HIGHLY recommended. Now I need to figure out if it's worth it to order a different motherboard.

Also ordered a second 4870x2 so that's why I stuck with a 1000w PSU.

Anybody have any suggestions? I'd love to get my hands on the Rampage Extreme if I can find a vendor who will ship it to Canada.

Thanks for the help!

Any ideas on a decent Mobo or a place where I can get a Rampage Extreme shipped to Canada?
