Core 2 Quad Q6600 no OC, 4 GB DDR2 @ 800 MHz, 250 GB SGT Barracuda, Vista Home Premium, EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GT 1 GB DDR2,SyncMaster 19" upto 1440 x 900

So, how'll Crysis and Crysis Warhead do on this rig? No new parts can be bought :(
I can't and don't want to run it on very high res(1920 x 1200) Monitor supports upto 1440 x 900..I'm ok with med-high settings. Don't wanna go for Very high...
Will I get around 20-25 fps? Help..!!!

Most of your rig is fine ... the only thing that will hold back your fps is your video card .... it's not really a gaming card. So I agree with kari .... don't even try it unless you really like slideshows :(

8600 1gb? holy cow, the marketing shennanigans. these people have no soul.

See if you can sell that card to someone else for like $60. then spend the extra $40 on an 8800gt

With SLI 7600s when I had em I ran crysis (not warhead) on medium settings no problem at 1024x768 I don't remember the frame rate but the game ran smooth so it was over 30. With an 8800 GT I can run Crysis on high settings @ 1280x768 and Warhead at the same level at the same resolution.

crappy card!
get an nvidia card like the 9800gx2 gtx260 more optimized for crysis then ati cards. 4870 is better in most games slightly but loses in crysis.

yeah get a 88/9800GT if at all possible, at that resolution you should get 27+ fps with med-high settings.you wont get much higher than about 36 fps max but it will stay around 30 or so with med to high settings.

at 1440x900, a 8800 GT can run all high @35fps or so depending on the section. a 9800 GTX or 4850 would fit you well.

They should shoot whoever decided to sell the 8600 1GB DDR2.
