Fans on CD drives spin but no display.
Tried different video card same thing
Unplugged all cards no change
took out of the case sat it on the table no change
Took out all but 1 stick of ram no change
took out all the ram no change
Checked power supply voltages all good
Any clues?
Has anyone ever used one of those PCI diagnostic cards?
Worth the money?
Thanks

Whoop, never mind. The link is not working. Sorry.

If you have only the motherboard, CPU, PSU, and a system speaker to listen for the POST codes, you should hear a beep pattern indicating memory problems. If you hear silence, your problem is most likely (in order) PSU, motherboard, or CPU.

You say you have all the voltages from the PSU. You need to look at one more thing. Check the gray wire. It's a control signal from the PSU to the motherboard called something like "PowerOK". It should go from 0 volts to about 5 volts when you press the case power switch in less than 1/2 second. The CPU needs this signal to boot.

Thanks for your response.
I tried that and my meter shows 5.19VDC rather quickly. I would say that its ok.
Now should I expect a beep code with video card, memory and cpu removed?
