I just installed Windows XP Pro 64 bit on my desktop with a Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 mobo, AMD 64x2 5000+ BE, and updated to SP2 for XP Pro 64-bit. NIC is Realtek 8111B. My LAN has disappeared from the network connections manager and the device manager, however the lights are still on on the NIC. I have tried reinstalling the drivers and have even reinstalled Windows. Still does not show up and can not connect to internet. IPCONFIG yields nothing as well. It is not detecting the NIC at all. Suggestions on what to do or possible fixes? Thanks much.
