Hi

I just got my 4850 isntalled and im not too happy, I have tried maxing out ut3 and quake wars and my FPS is dropping below 60 which I cant believe would be accurate given the benchmarsk for this card.

MY specs are e4600@stock,2 gigs 667 ram,asrock d667 Motherboard and my hd4850.

Im using riva tuner to set my GPU fan at 50% and its never gone above 60c even underload.

Anyone any ideas?

Cod 4 is running well, its mainly quake wars im having the issues with no matter what resolution I play it at.

quake wars benefits from a high clock speed... i'd imagine your cpu is bottlenecking it

Ahwell, i can live with that.

I like the game but I thought this new card would sort out the FPS issues will have to just live with the drops to 30.

Sucks a bit though. just a little bit.

Force triple buffering on. It would help increase minimum fps.

I ahve tried and its not making all that much difference.

Really not sure what to try next.

or sell ur cpu and get a e7200 for a little more...
