I have the Radeon HD 4850 and my driver listed in device manager says "HD 4800 series". While trying out piratesonline.com the game crashed when I changed resolutions and a log was generated that says I am using the x1800 series drivers, which was my OLD GPU.

Any suggestions to assist me?

Thanks!

Eddie

When you installed your new card, did you:
1) Uninstall your old drivers (even if they were current)
2) Run a driver cleaner program (like driver sweeper) to remove any extraneous driver components, and
3) Re-install the latest drivers from ATI?

sounds to me like you didn't entirely remove your old video card's drivers. as wolf said, try a program like driver sweeper to clean up all traces of the old drivers and then do a fresh install of the catalyst 8.8 drivers.

I did use a driver cleaner...will try again with driver sweeper, though...thanks.
